Fall Street Sweeping to Begin Nov. 12
Fall street sweeping is scheduled to begin on Nov. 12 and will take approximately one week to complete. Residents are requested to avoid parking on the street during this time and to keep waste receptacles off the roadway.
Rainwater and snowmelt can carry fertilizer, pesticides, dirt, salt, oil, trash and other contaminants into local lakes and wetlands through storm drains. Street sweeping in the spring and fall removes several tons of debris from the streets, which helps maintain the water quality of these areas.
As a reminder, leaves and yard waste should never be raked or blown into the gutter, street, or storm drain, as this is illegal and violates New Hope City Code. New Hope residents can dispose of leaves, garden waste, grass clippings and more at the Maple Grove Yard Waste Site for free, with proof of residency. The site is located at 10300 Maple Grove Pkwy N and is open through Nov. 30. For more information, including hours of operation and directions, please visit
