The new garden exchange at Northwood Park provides residents with a convenient way to share gardening resources and help each other grow. Made possible through a Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP) Grant from Hennepin County, the exchange is available for everyone to use.
Residents are welcome to take what they need and leave extra seeds or gently used gardening supplies for others. Accepted items include seeds, hand tools, gloves, small pots and other garden-related items that are in good condition and can fit in the exchange box.
The garden exchange is available year-round. While it will not be regularly restocked during the winter months, seasonal restocking will begin as spring approaches and gardening season begins.
To help keep the exchange safe and useful for everyone, please do not leave household items, chemicals, pesticides, fertilizers, food, broken or unsafe tools or items unrelated to gardening.
