The City of New Hope is accepting applications for an opening on the Planning Commission.
The Planning Commission consists of nine members who serve three-year terms. The commission plays an important role in shaping the future of New Hope by making recommendations to the City Council on matters related to:
- Zoning and platting
- Residential, commercial and industrial development, expansions and redevelopment
- Public improvements
The Planning Commission also has two subcommittees:
- Codes and Standards Subcommittee: Reviews proposed text amendments to the City Code.
- Design and Review Subcommittee: Meets with applicants to review site and building expansion projects before they are presented to the full Planning Commission.
