Starting next week, some City of New Hope online services will be unavailable as we work to improve our software systems. During this planned outage, you’ll be unable to pay utility bills online or by phone or apply for permits and licenses and schedule inspections online. Additionally, processing and response times may be longer than usual. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Utility Billing
Starting Monday evening, Oct. 7, at 11:55 p.m. until Tuesday, Oct. 15, the New Hope Payment Portal will be undergoing improvements and will be unavailable. This means that during this period, you will not be able to access your account or make payments online or over the phone. Here are the alternative ways to make utility bill payments during this timeframe:

  • In Person: You can make payments in person using cash or check at New Hope City Hall from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. There are also two drop boxes at City Hall, available 24/7. One is a walk-up drop box located to the left of the City Hall main doors, and the other is a drive-up drop box on the median in the City Hall parking lot near the main doors.
  • By Mail: Utility bills may be mailed to the City of New Hope, 4401 Xylon Ave N, New Hope, MN 55428. Please allow enough time for your bill to be delivered by mail before the due date.

Permits and Licensing
Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 4:30 p.m. and until Tuesday, Oct. 15, ePermits and eLicensing will be unavailable.

Those needing to apply for a permit or license can fill out and submit a PDF application, which is available on the website or at City Hall.

Submitting Completed Applications: Completed permit and license applications can be emailed to the address listed at the top of the application, submitted in person at New Hope City Hall (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), or mailed to New Hope City Hall, Attn: Inspections, 4401 Xylon Ave N, New Hope, MN 55428.

Permit payments can be made:

  • Over the phone: To pay by credit card over the phone, please call 763.531.5127.
  • In-person: Payment can be made by cash, check, or credit card at New Hope City Hall, located at 4401 Xylon Ave N, New Hope, MN 55428. Our office hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • By mail: Check payments may be mailed to New Hope City Hall, attn: Inspections, 4401 Xylon Ave N, New Hope, MN 55428. Please include the license or permit number in the check’s memo line.

Those who need to schedule an inspection during the planned outage should send an email to [email protected] or call 763-531-5127.
