In compliance with the Minnesota Open Meeting Law, all meetings of the New Hope City Council are publicized and open to the public, except for limited exceptions spelled out in the law.
Schedule
Regular city council meetings are typically held on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Work sessions are scheduled for the third Monday of most months. Upcoming meeting dates can be found here.
Public Participation
The City Council encourages residents to attend and participate in regular council meetings. A 15-minute open forum is also provided near the beginning of regular council meetings to provide individuals with an opportunity to address the Council on any subject pertaining to city business but not included on the agenda or scheduled as a future agenda item. The Council asks those participating in the open forum to limit their comments to three minutes.
While residents are welcome to attend and observe council work sessions, public comment is generally not sought at those meetings.
