New Hope City Day Returns Thursday, Oct. 8

Meet the people who serve your community, learn more about City services and enjoy an evening of family-friendly fun at New Hope City Day on Thursday, Oct. 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. at New Hope City Hall, 4401 Xylon Ave N.

The free, family-friendly event gives residents a chance to connect with City staff and elected officials, learn about City services and get an up-close look at the vehicles and equipment that help keep New Hope running.

Inside City Hall, attendees can visit department tables, ask questions and learn more about the work City staff does every day. Community partners Hennepin Recycling Group and CCX Media will also be on hand.

Outside, attendees can explore police, fire and public works vehicles and equipment. Brick Oven Bus and Unbakeable will be serving up savory and sweet options available for purchase throughout the evening.

Kids are encouraged to bring a treat bag for some early trick-or-treating. City departments and other stops throughout the event will have treats available.

The New Hope Human Rights Commission will also host a special art exhibit featuring artwork created by local kindergarten students. The exhibit celebrates the diversity of the New Hope community through the eyes of some of its youngest residents.

Whether you’ve lived in New Hope for years or just moved to the community, City Day is an opportunity to meet the people who serve New Hope, see City operations up close and spend an evening with neighbors.

The event is free and open to all ages. No registration is required.
