Letter from Chief Tim Hoyt
This year brought noteworthy change within our leadership ranks. We
celebrated the retirement of Captain Slawson, whose decades of service
and institutional knowledge have been invaluable to the department. His
legacy will continue to influence our operations and culture for years to
come.
With that transition, we also welcomed new leadership. The promotions of
Pete Stanley to Captain, and Tony Loser and Brad Kallio to Sergeants, along
with other internal advancements, strengthened our supervisory team and
positioned us for continued success. These individuals stepped into their
roles with professionalism and a clear commitment to guiding and
supporting their teams.
Operationally, our department continued to adapt to evolving demands
while maintaining high standards of service. We advanced training
initiatives, enhanced collaboration with partner agencies, and pursued
improvements in equipment, technology, and administrative processes.
These efforts, many of which are detailed in the report that follows, were
essential to meeting the needs of our community and improving the
effectiveness of our response.
Our personnel once again demonstrated dedication, resilience, and a strong
sense of purpose. Whether in day- to-day operations or during critical
incidents, each member of this department contributed to our mission and
the safety of those we serve. I extend my gratitude to our staff, our families,
and our community partners for their support throughout the year.
As we move into the upcoming year, we will continue to build on this
momentum. Our focus will remain on strengthening leadership, investing in
training and equipment, and ensuring we are prepared to meet both
emerging challenges and long-standing community needs. I am proud of
the progress we have made and confident in the direction we are heading.
Sincerely,
Chief Tim Hoyt
