Overview:
At the Sept. 23, 2024 meeting, the City of New Hope presented the feasibility report and held a public hearing for the proposed 2025 Infrastructure Improvement Project. Council approved the report and authorized plan preparation on Oct. 28, 2024. On March 24, 2025, the contract was awarded to Northwest Asphalt Inc. The project will begin in summer 2025. A map of affected streets is available at the link below.

The project map shows two types of street repairs. Green streets will get a reclaim and overlay, which means the old pavement is completely removed down to the gravel base. Roads will be gravel for a couple of weeks while repairs are made, then new pavement will be added.

Red streets will get a mill and overlay, where just the top layer of pavement is removed. Any needed repairs underneath are made before a new layer of asphalt is added in the following weeks.

Schedule:
The project will begin the week of July 7, weather permitting and be completed by fall 2025. Work will take place from Monday to Friday, between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m., with occasional work on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
