The City of New Hope will hold a Public Accuracy Test for the Aug. 11 Primary Election on Wednesday, July 29, from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at New Hope City Hall.
Before every election, election officials test all voting equipment to make sure it accurately records and counts ballots. During the test, officials run pre-marked ballots through the ballot tabulators and compare the results to the expected vote totals. Assistive voting equipment will also be tested.
The Public Accuracy Test is open to anyone who would like to observe the process and learn how election equipment is tested before Election Day.
