The New Hope Police Department occasionally issues crime alerts to let the community know of incidents and prevention strategies or to seek information that will assist investigators in solving incidents. Below is information we hope will help you make contact with the correct person at the police department.
If there is no active Crime Alert, but you would like to see information on recent calls for service, please visit the Community Services/Crime Prevention page for the most recent versions of the "Calls For Service Media Report", or the LexisNexis Community Crime Map (3rd party site) which you can look up certain crime types by area on the map.
If a crime is happening now, please call 911. It is the easiest number to remember and will quickly connect you with a 911 dispatcher who can send the help you need.
If you need to report a crime that occurred sometime in the past but has not yet been reported to the police, you can still use 911 to do so and and officer will be sent to your location. You may also use the non-emergency number 952-258-5321. (The same dispatcher will be answering your call).
You may also stop by the New Hope Police Department at any time to make a report of an incident that occurred in New Hope or if you need assistance from an officer. Our vestibule is always open, even during the hours the lobby is closed, and there is a phone on the wall you may use to call 911 to request an officer meet you at the Police Department.
