Get ready to clear out unwanted items at the upcoming Special Materials Drop- Off Day on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Brooklyn Park Operations & Maintenance Facility, 8300 Noble Ave. N.
Hosted by the Hennepin Recycling Group cities of Brooklyn Center, Crystal, New Hope and Brooklyn Park, this event offers a convenient way to safely dispose of common household items.

FREE DROP-OFF ITEMS:

• Batteries (auto & household)
• Bicycles
• Scrap metal
• Flattened cardboard
• Used oil, filters, antifreeze
• Paper for on-site shredding

ITEMS WITH A SMALL FEE:

• Appliances – $10 each (fridge, microwave, AC, etc.)
• Electronics – $5 for TVs, monitors, computers; others free
• Mattresses/Box Springs – $20 each (must be clean)
• Tires – $2 each (any size, on or off rim)

NOT ACCEPTED
Carpet, furniture, lamps, paint, yard waste and similar items.
